    I told my dad what Electron clients were and he looked visibly horrified. He used to work on old CompuServe infra before AOL and flames nodejs whenever he gets the opportunity. So when I informed him that all of his VOIPs are chromium browsers powered by node he was broken.

    @VICE Went into VR chat a few weeks back and it was like the worst bits of AOL chat personified. If you want to find a reason to become misanthropic definitely go there. #metaworse

    @The_Primal_One See, I would disagree. If left alone with a computer, even in the early 90's, I found plenty of porn. Let's not even talk about some of the stuff I was exposed to through AOL chat rooms and MUDs. I found and saw plenty of deranged ****.

    @seanmwinn Pre-IT, I discovered how to prevent the locked-down Windows 3.1 image from loading. I installed AOL and enjoyed the fast ISDN connection at the company I worked at. I had no idea of the cost associated with it.

    @keelanl @Sutehk1 I have a stack of CD-RW and the only laptop I have that has a CD-drive is a piece of crap :) Use them as coasters now as AOL isn't sending out discs anymore :)

    @indysofian My dad still logs in to the AOL desktop client to use the internet. Not as bad. But still, bad.
