@bruces Just catching up on twitter’s history …they started almost three years to the day that what has been PointCast was acquired by AOL (and was shut down not quite nine months later) Mostly empty Enzyme Valley here was just starting to repopulate with BioTechs

@bitemyapp @st_boniface_axe we had a 386 hand-me-down from a family friend who upgraded--he was a programmer and early-adopter (worked at apple at some point; later sold a business to Adobe). It came pre-loaded with some DOS side-scroll games. You had to load up win3.1 to run AOL.

.@AOLSupportHelp How many months is it acceptable for the App Password Generator to be down. I have 3 AOL Mail accounts that I need to access through Outlook. You say I have to generate an app password, when I try you tell me that the feature is unavailable. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER

@tomasganey Years ago when I worked for Verizon, we’d help customers move their emails over to new devices. Guy in his mid 40s was paying 24$ / Mo for AOL email. His wife roasted him mercilessly

All I’m saying is it would not be a bad idea to be interoperable. Years ago AOL was the internet of choice and today that is not the case. So why are we acting like Eth is going to be the winner when it has only been around since 2015? What if the winner ends up being $Dot / $Ada
