    @chococherries1 @TomMerfy @jathansadowski We can’t blame all or even most of our problems on AOL. In the end, they turned themselves from an “online service” into just another ISP. But they were an early example of the problems of moderating conversations. They had a lot of volunteers cleaning up the AOL chat rooms.

    A handful of people out there are really living with the knowledge that when AOL first rolled out they picked an online handle and legit just stuck with it for two decades now. Meanwhile my first online handle was some dumb **** like XxCowZrKewLxX

    @FlayMark @view_raw Goldberg's not a problem. He's involved six weeks a year. WCW failed because when AOL and Time/Warner merged, they wanted to get out of the wrestling business.
