    @quickbear @gr3yg00 Yes, that makes sense!! I remember that I mainly used internet at university (text only). Then I bought a modem, but it took a while for it to be useful. First there were BBS (bulletin board service: useless), later AOL, and again later real internet access.

    @AOL I have unlinked my gmail on May 24th. You've subsequently locked me out and disregarded my 2-factor authentication and also my previously set passwords. This is the only current way of contacting official support.

  • hauntedfluff Shane (@hauntedfluff) reported

    @AOLSupportHelp is Trash! This premium support person just hung up on my friend who was trying to reset his password because the rep couldn’t reset password and my friend asked for a supervisor. I suggested gmail or yahoo and to cancel AOL support that costs $5/mo

    Although I like most of the people that I grew up with (hackers, programmers, people on AOL) and would claim more loyalty to the majority of them than... other people (such as anyone in fandom), some of these people have been known to make stupid decisions.

  • TheJohnMan1980 John Mellinger III (@TheJohnMan1980) reported

    @HotSauceZee Everybody on my servers have been rubber banding... EA giving Dice those 1998 AOL Servers. It's so bad. And the maps are so bad in 64 player modes. Like I did not think that would be possible that they would be worse getting around over 128 players

    @AOL Awww, poor little Rioter.

    @quickbear @gr3yg00 Never got to try that one. I used the unix text based one, then for private the AOL one.

    @tavanakyy_ir @AOLSupportHelp @AOL They started locking accounts so that people have to pay a monthly tech support fee to get it unlocked. It’s pure extortion.

  • socialist_sheep Socialist Sheep (@socialist_sheep) reported

    @JohnASuggs01 @AOLSupportHelp You didn’t forget the password. AOL started locking peoples’ accounts so that they could force everyone to pay their monthly tech support fee.
