  @_tinatruth Steve Bartlett explained financial bubbles in one minute. The AOL–Time Warner story is a powerful reminder that HIGH VALUATION IS NOT THE SAME AS REAL VALUE. It reminded me of something I wrote on August 17 on my post 👇 A GREAT ASSET doesn’t automatically make a GREAT INVESTMENT. Pay too much, and your returns can suffer. Allocate too much capital, and one mistake can damage your entire portfolio. That’s why I believe good investing isn’t just about choosing the right asset. It’s about paying the RIGHT PRICE and sizing your position wisely. The AOL–Time Warner story didn’t teach me that lesson. It reinforced it.   @ToddVercoe @PoloniumTurd Delphi wasn't Internet, it was a walled garden service like AOL. BBS's weren't Internet either. The WWW didn't come about for end users till '91.

  @PokeRestockApp @Pagan_GMR That was the first rule of the internet when AoL & CompuServe was sending the FREE cds to everyone & everything. NEVER give ANYONE your real name online there was even a PSA about it.

  @PhilipCDube Unfortunately Dr Resnick’s AOL dial up service was not enough bandwidth to carry his voice. The defense should have MADE SURE he was in a place in Ohio where there was proper internet service. This was way too important!

  @brockpierson If you had AOL or CompuServe, you had to connect with a modem. At some point PCs shipped with integrated modems, but yes, I rocked one of those bad boys as well.

  @Google requiring you to scan a QR code on your own phone to login is probably the least helpful technology in existence. Yes, it gives you “other options” though those rarely work without you doing it 5-6 times. They need to fix that or YMail or AOL is beginning to sound better.
