With all this AVOD talk, and the thought that Netflix will probably charge some hefty CPMs when they get around to taking ads, I can’t help but wonder if the streaming services will create something akin to the homepage ad that were all the rage on Y! and Aol back in the ‘00s.

@nerdycassidy @rhschm It is also a very accessible font, even though my generation might have given it a bad rap for all the AIM/AOL html profile editing we did...but it ACTUALLY turns out to be a good font for a variety of reasons.

@CletusSpangler @ChokeOnlt @Cernovich This is a public Forum, Cletus. If you have a problem with that, maybe you could set up a nice, invitation-only AOL chatroom? Of course, you might need to make some friends, first.

@ThatWerewolfTho 3. I am admittedly an old fart magician, also GenX. I am VERY glad the stuff I wrote in my early to mid-20s (****, even some of my 30s output) is lost in dead AOL and Compuserve hard drives. It was embarrassing. I feel for young people in this always-on-display culture.

Warning to all my friends...if you subscribe to The Epoch Times, they make it difficult to stop your subscription. Reminds me of AOL days, or Sat Radio, they don't want you to cancel, so waste a lot of your time sending you in circles just to cancel it. I refuse to play.

@Qirex9 @tlagomi The likelihood of you having a car crash is small but do you still wear a seat belt? Also the likelihood of LUNA not being in the 100% in 2 years' time is not 0,001%. It doesn't take a black swan for LUNA to fail. The top stocks in the Internet Boom were Yahoo, AOL and Netscape.
