@profgalloway For sure, Musk for all his “genius” doesn’t seem to realize proud boys don’t buy Teslas and that is the just US. Then all tangles with foreign governments around twitter effecting his ability to sell cars overseas. This is Time warner AOL on steroids of a bad purchase.

@wjmaggos @lolennui @AOL genZ who grew up on the internet and i literally understand it all with no issues. i also know how to use newsgroups, usenet, etc so i guess im in a different league. it really seems tho that most these people in the thread just dont *want* to understand it lol

@sue_then I would be happy to. This sucks for the short term, but longer term should be ok. AOL forums went away. Prodigy forums went away. MySpace pretty much dwindled, I think it may still exist in some form. Yahoo groups went away. The communities they had still exist elsewhere.

Is it wrong I feel like Twitter totally burning down and turning into an irrelevant ghost town the likes of MySpace or AOL is a deserved end to a site that is such a mess? Dunno. I mean this place is a **** show and always has been. Remember how bad it was with orange guy around?

  • girl_drool Derek (@girl_drool) reported

@lilweebu It was like the only website I went to after aol dbz era and the primer for something awful era

  • SteveDrillher Steve Drillher Productions (@SteveDrillher) reported

@XBIZ @Twitter @elonmusk So does that mean the beginning of the end for the "AOL of porn" because the UI on OF is awful...Twitter could be a total game changer!

  • RHMoonHill Richard H. Moon (@RHMoonHill) reported

@NomeDaBarbarian Babylon 5 discussion room in the AOL forums. Almost simultaneously with Rec.Arts.Marching.Drumcorps on usenet Kids would lose their **** about the complete lack of ads or data-harvesting.

  • o_dark_dirty O Dark ***** (@o_dark_dirty) reported

@elonmusk Lol.. Holy crap. Let me pop in my AOL trial disc and double check this. Or, perhaps, Ask Jeeves.

  • BarryNorton Barry Norton (@BarryNorton) reported

@BookwormVaught I was never a Bebo user, but had an impression of it. Yeah, though, they sold it to AOL who sold it on to a hedge fund. Seriously, decentralisation is the only way I see out of this cycle.

@hendax45 Use AOL email app not the built-in email app to iOS you shouldn't have any issues.
