@instagram today my partner got hacked on instagram. They took both passwords and usernames and messed up for friends. She got an email and followed all steps but still you only send the new password to the hackers on aol. There is no extra help button for security links…🥹

@ethspresso @yunewild Me too. I never had my own modem until the BBS boards were already dying. But we had a telephone "flatrate" so it was cheaper to connect/disconnect via ISDN compared to dial-in via that expensive AOL thing (internet).

Krile is someone's aunt who has asked very politely if she can 'hang out' because she used to do this on AOL chatrooms back in the day. Covertly she's trying to make sure that nobody's doing anything too hinky around her relative. Nobody is clear WHOSE aunt.

@aolmail I just spoke with 2 tech guys and one tech woman who was contacted. No one can fix what has been happening. I am losing so much of what I am putting in my emails. Graphics, pictures. I looked online and it says to NOT decompress graphics but I don't know where to do that

I don't understand the compulsion to @ someone when you're direct messaging them in teams. It's like they never used AOL Instant Messenger before.

@samcallah "Opportunity of a lifetime". I've heard this many times in my life: Enron, AOL, NFTs, Bitconnect, Bernie Madoff. Bitcoin literally has only one use: to sell. If you never sell it it is worthless. You cant eat it, cant live in it, cant make jewelry or computer parts with it.
