when you're on hold with customer service or tech support, all the people on hold should be allowed to talk to each other like a 1997 AOL chatroom

  • NLawrenceYoung JoeBidet (@NLawrenceYoung) reported

@MarcGoldwein My cable company that I just canceled requires the same, and makes you listen to a 20 minute pitch before cancelling. But doesn't anyone remember how hard it was to cancel AOL back in the day?

Gillette didn’t pioneer the safety razor; Star did. Polaroid didn’t pioneer the instant camera; Dubroni did. Microsoft didn’t pioneer the personal computer spreadsheet; VisiCorp did. Amazon didn’t pioneer online book selling and AOL didn’t pioneer online Internet service….

  • TrustyShoes BANGhetto 🇧🇩 | Scam Likely (@TrustyShoes) reported

Have AOL make my email stop. You really gotta be a damn bugaboo for sure to make someone wanna do this lol

  • ercwl eriverse (@ercwl) reported

@gladstein @udiWertheimer It would be like asking, ”When do you think AOL’s private network could build an application that’s similar to a web application built on the Internet?”

  • djgiglio Dave Giglio (@djgiglio) reported

@JohnMor26828344 @JackPosobiec What they sent over had nothing to do with AOL’s or EarthLink’s limits on attachment sizes. It was the original, unenhanced video. The enhancement used should be the issue, since the program used says it’s for investigatory, not evidentiary use.

  • dblstdandlies Hypocrisy? Double Standard? Lie? (@dblstdandlies) reported

@JonathanTurley Work backwards. What was the purpose of willfully making a copy that was not in the highest resolution? There is no good reason. It’s not like they were emailing the copies through AOL.
