Some believe #Bitcoin could be replaced by something else and die like aol. If you spend time understanding the network design, finite supply, and lightening 2nd layer, you’ll conclude this isn’t possible. It’s been tried:BCH, LTC, etc. Pristine already

@jasonzweigwsj I still remember AOL was such a great investment in the 90s. Seemed like it would split once a a year like clockwork until they merged with Time Warner. This list brings back a lot of memories. The IPO opening day returns in the late 90s were unreal. 100% pop was a bad debut.

For the record, working the AOL cancellation line in 1995 was not the best job. They'd oversold the network. Nobody could log in, but they had a third effort policy. You had to rebut their complaints three times before you were allowed to cancel their accounts.

@matthewegould Detecting aftermath reversal cancer, Motorola Pager, AOL Dial-up online & offline serviced, AT&T Phone booths properly functioning with no new tech inference or interruption, and a real-time living Astronaut wearing a spacesuit never influenced or near a 3G-5G atmosphere! 👧🏻

Such a disappointment. My dad spent 70 bucks on the new #Battlefield2042 only to be blocked by the game requiring he sign in with an EA account utilizing an AOL email he hasn't been able to access for 19 years. Support hasnt been able to do anything. Hes been excited for months.

@EmpyreTTV @streamlabs It’s like the old AOL cancel process. Are you sure? Will give you a free 30 days to think about it. Are you sure you want that free month? “I got DSL, I have no use for you now.” We’ll give you 6 months free!

@pfcilng @AllThingsCivil It's bonkers to me how badly an enterprise organization can fumble email. Just email. Presumably, the different service branches don't have unique needs when it comes to... email. Just choose a provider! At this point AOL could probably do it better.
