After much mediation and soul searching, I figured out what my New Years resolution for online stuff is... get better at replying to messages on Twitter, Instagram and Discord. I have not seen so many messages not replied to since I checked my AOL in 10th grade...7k email!

This H-O-R-S-E Challenge is Awful you got Trae Young Shootin on a PlaySchool Net the one u need to put sand in the base so it wont fall. Did they ever hear of Wi-Fi the video is 💩must be using Dial-Up AOL. Feelin 1/Done w/this Challenge Experiment just TERRIBLE

@PhillyMike My best friend worked in one of the towers. Luckily he went to work later than most people. There was no cell service that day so the only way to finally communicate with him was via AOL IM lol

@bleakhousing @cynthiasaysboo @kairyssdal His name is Elwood Edwards. I don't know if he was ever really down and out, but I know that for awhile he had a website where you could pay and he'd record stuff in the AOL voice (though he had some "no-go" rules). I don't think he does it anymore.

@bouncyclown When I was a kid, we could go in AOL chart rooms and say whatever we wanted. This new moderated nanny form of the internet is actually what sucks. Where Zucc gets to decide who's feelings are too important to be hurt and who's don't matter. The social engineering is unhealthy.

@beaniemaxi a lot of L1s feel more like AOL than the free & open internet to me that's not necessarily bad as AOL boosted internet awareness and adoption, but there is a cautionary tale there if one views all of these as viable over the long-term with unique value propositions
