After much mediation and soul searching, I figured out what my New Years resolution for online stuff is... get better at replying to messages on Twitter, Instagram and Discord. I have not seen so many messages not replied to since I checked my AOL in 10th grade...7k email!

  • PhillyPartTwo Michael MPH 🇺🇸 ✌🏼 (@PhillyPartTwo) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

@AOLSupportHelp Lies. Your spam filter is learning NOTHING. Half of what's in spam are IMPORTANT emails I'm missing. I don't even know WHEN to check spam since you refuse to have an unread mail indicator next to spam. Clearly this isn't a problem you have the brains to solve. Leaving for gmail.

  • BigBadRoman Feel.For.You.💔 (@BigBadRoman) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I'm screaming remember AOL skksksosk that shit was such a mess.

  • PhillyPartTwo Michael MPH 🇺🇸 ✌🏼 (@PhillyPartTwo) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

@aolmail EXCUSE ME where are spam level settings?? There are TOO MANY non-spam emails going into spam. How do I turn down the sensitivity? I am missing IMPORTANT emails, where do I reduce the spam sensitivity?

  • marvgee Marvin Wesby (@marvgee) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I do Eytan, ever since 1997 when I was in the Navy. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I do also have an Gmail account, but primary is Aol.

  • jeffreywuhl Jeffrey Wuhl (@jeffreywuhl) reported from West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

@PhillyMike My best friend worked in one of the towers. Luckily he went to work later than most people. There was no cell service that day so the only way to finally communicate with him was via AOL IM lol

  • kathleenhayn Now a Matisse fansite (@kathleenhayn) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

@JamieParx I requested a new password and went into my old AOL email so I could get back in. The site sucks so much now

  • linusesq linusesq (@linusesq) reported from Borough of Lansdale, Pennsylvania

For the first time Google AI actually HELPED me fix something that usually frustrates TF out of me (getting my Windows 10 ers Outlook 2010... which has ALL my emails going back to forever to speak with my current crappy @verizon AOL email account.)

  • CMeLL3T PHILLY LOAD3D (@CMeLL3T) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

  • itsjulianking Julian King (@itsjulianking) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

These kids today will never understand what it feels like to be excited to download your music from Limewire, all to hear “AOL Music” or “Black and beats vibe baby” before each song — you didn’t care cause it was free and still blasted on repeat!

  • PhillyPartTwo Michael MPH 🇺🇸 ✌🏼 (@PhillyPartTwo) reported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

@AOLmail @AOL EMAILS. FROM. GOOGLE. ARE. NOT. SPAM. Your spam controls continue to be terrible and you are a horrifically bad business platform.

  • coolpowers coolpowers@mastodon.social (@coolpowers) reported

@iznaut When I first moved to the US we lived in rural Iowa and used a local ISP (there wasn’t a local AOL number). Local ISPs meant a limited number of lines - once school got out you’d get a busy signal when trying to connect if you weren’t fast enough.

  • Bscott4293 Brandon Scott (@Bscott4293) reported

@tyler Crypto twitter in a nutshell....makes claims about Bitcoin being a store of value and inflation hedge and then when it is proven not to be with actual inflation they say it's just because the technology is new. Bitcoin investors will be looked at like AOL investors down the road

  • fekauff Peristaltic Dimorph (Pro/noun) (@fekauff) reported

@sherrod_im @kwestin Yeah. I'd go back. If we could just go back to the day before the "online" service Prodigy connected their users to Usenet, and then ushered in AOL's doing the same. The collective IQ dropped by 74%.

  • Daniel_Morrison D M (@Daniel_Morrison) reported

@ATVIAssist I am having an issue where I can’t confirm my email since it’s an old Aol email and I can’t change my email on my account since my email is not confirmed

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • iamnotlinda Linda (@iamnotlinda) reported

@NotNate_19 @KimberlyNFoster Times like these, I'm grateful that my teenage self was only allowed to make an *** of myself on AOL forums. Use some sense, child, and never attach a real photo.

  • iznaut izzy "queenslayer" kestrel (@iznaut) reported

did dial-up ever have downtime? like obv you had to explicitly connect to it so it was never "always up" but i don't remember trying to get on AOL and having a message like "sorry try again later"

  • socalgecko Vinaigrette Peters (@socalgecko) reported

@motoridersd WTF is this Yahoo/AOL bullshit

  • stopbeingsoft00 Twatter (@stopbeingsoft00) reported

Are y’all subscribing to your own services? Reporting, commentary, ******* ADVERTISEMENTS, ****** coding, doesn’t justify paying for any service, let alone one you feel entitled to increase now. @espn is the new @AOL

  • MarkDTobin1 MarkDTobin (@MarkDTobin1) reported

@SamWitwer Even back in 1989, we never had to show our names. We could come up with usernames on Prodigy or AOL, I don't know about Genie.
