"Cyber Monday" will never not amuse my inner immature teen who grew up in AOL chatrooms.

Is anyone else having issues sending emails to people with AOL accounts? I've had multiple emails from my gmail bounce in the past day or two. My family's going to think I'm hiding the good Black Friday deals from them.

@Kevin_Biot @RETEU3 @dave_killion Whilst I can't claim to have been online in the Tim Berners-Lee era, I have been active online since the days of AOL chat rooms in the mid 90s. The internet has enabled a billion amazing things. But again, you cannot claim it hasn't brought a lot of crap along as well.

@ThatCG1801 @RobbeeeRob They had one whole smooth *** year to try and up their streaming capabilities. They failed miserably. In two business days I’ll be looking for my refund. Or else they’ll be hearing from me AGAIN! I damn near missed the whole 3rd quarter because of that or crappy AOL servers 🥴

@VRKurosawa @TheClosedFist Yeah because AOL/Time Warner didn't want wrestling after Turner left, and all the financial mismanagement and bad creative ran it into the ground. The least Time Warner could have done is kept the tape library. Vince got it all for pennies. Sad.

The local newspapers’ online comments were as ****** up as you might expect. What I didn’t expect to see was my aunt’s AOL username attached to a comment saying that the UU deserved this because of their unbiblical support of Christianity.

@chuckwoolery Why is her emails and his sons laptop not putting them in any trouble? I seen 14 year old AOL hackers get investigated by the FBI?

@junker_jo I’ll never give up my bookmarks, it’s the lingering connection to the web before it was all AOL style bullshit like Twitter. A card catalog of esoteric weird sites out there, the used bookstore of the internets.

@bibbityboosadan @ThisIsTomLittle @qikipedia Verizon acquired them, and AOL, and decided to sonically-weld them together, in one nostalgia-infused pile of garbage. Sure that they'll suck up Lycos, and Kodak, eventually, too...
