@gbildson @pkedrosky this was also before the pay per click search model. Netscape charged search engines $200k/yr to appear in the drop down search. Netscape did end up selling to AOL for $4 billion.

@tony_sutton I never really got to use it. A friend had it I think. I did use AOL for a while though. Mostly I dialled it up, minimised the window, and went about my day on the actual internet proper. Although I did use AOL messenger.

Ever since twitter has tried to implement the fake *** CH chat thing this app been moving slow like we back to aol dial up days Everyone on this app thought twitter got them out the paint for a min when it wasn't loading lmao
