Oh yes, and back in the waaaay old days (like 1994) internet services (or their closed-circuit predecessors like Prodigy, AOL, and Compuserve) charged BY THe HOUR for service. Think about how many people would stay off the internet if that were the truth today!

Whoever has taken an ‘AOL’ route into this heaven get off it immediately. There are no shortcuts. That is for you! Do social service the normal way. Do not remain misinformed. Puns aren’t intended to establish a new law of nature. You play GOD, you destroy the world.

@jeremyjudkins_ What will really blow his mind is learning literally every ad based service does exactly the same thing. What he’s describing is data used for user fingerprinting, which Every ad provider does (Facebook, Insta, Snap, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, and countless others)

I tell both the new person and the dude who came in with bad faith that you don't have to pay to use re-AOL, that the Patreon just offers extra perks, and the dude who came in with bad faith (we'll call him ******** for the sake of these Tweets) gets angry over

@Sarah_Katilyn @Canny4 That horrid AOL dialup noise will haunt me till the day I die. Fun fact...I still use my AOL mail account from the 90s as my main account. Don't @ me.
