    @MelitaWhite They used to send them to everyone for a free trial of AOL internet service. Everyone tossed them. We all had dial-up through the phone company.

    @ravenscimaven That's how AOL advertised their service, they sent out tons of free internet hours on discs. I, personally had PeoplePC. Both of these services was dial-up.

    @Lawfool85 @one12shelf Short of the kid in the first one being in an AOL style chatroom and the soundtracks, I didn't feel they did a good enough job making it feel like the time periods. Not like Stranger Things where they toss D&D and other pop culture things down your throat at times.

    @thetomzone america online has an android app now? i must install it or else i will be stuck offline... i remember when america online was a separate network from the internet, and if you used a different internet service provider, there was aol-only content you couldn’t access... good times
