    Here’s the deal, even if the physical app shuts down temporarily it’ll come back. Elon will become bored and sell it. And it’ll pass along from owner to owner, hell… AOL is still in business technically

  • ____leah_s leah (@____leah_s) reported

    @TJC_612 @AOL Not a bad idea

  • trcterp Obama Democrat #BringHomeBrittneyGriner (@trcterp) reported

    There is no such thing as too big to fail. Ask AOL, MySpace, and Internet Explorer. #Twitter

  • monarchdiaries The Monarch Diaries (Hardcore) (@monarchdiaries) reported

    @MassDara Twitter won't "die". It'll most likely circle the drain indefinitely, hemorrhaging interesting users and relevance. It will eventually become a walking dead concern, like AOL, MySpace, and (optimistically) Tumblr. There won't be a loss of service, just a slow depressing slide

  • levifinley Levi (@levifinley) reported

    Generational infrastructure has died over and over. AOL, MySpace,live journal, tumblr, vine, and more. And now Twitter? We just wanna be together, share stupid ****, and complain. Am I supposed to actually figure out discord or mastodon now? Wtf

  • theistinthought Based in Christ (@theistinthought) reported

    If Twitter shuts down, I’ll see y’all back in the AOL chat rooms.

  • Crimson_Peej Paul (@Crimson_Peej) reported

    @WadeBatesRadio I thought ICQ shut down? Or maybe I'm thinking of AOL IM?

  • JillianNY Jillian 🇺🇲🥳🎈 (@JillianNY) reported

    So are we're done? Listen I have found my online peeps everywhere, elsewhere. AOL, Yahoo groups, .nets, Facebook (never again but still) worldwide. We shall meet again. Eventually. I'll be here until ******** shut off the lights.
