@PhillyMike My best friend worked in one of the towers. Luckily he went to work later than most people. There was no cell service that day so the only way to finally communicate with him was via AOL IM lol

@elliottdunstan I am so so so SO glad that my late teens and early 20s took place in an era before the internet became the Cultural Phenomenon it has become like, I said and did some really stupid **** but it was all in AOL chat rooms that no one has access to anymore

@AOLSupportHelp: AOL hands down may be the worst e-mail service ever. I understand security and privacy are huge, but it is extremely sad to see that AOL can't help me retrieve my email account. Never using AOL again, everyone please use Google or Yahoo and save time in your life

@Lettybird When I worked for AOL tech support about 15 years ago, we were warned about making up our own phonetic alphabet with the example of a previous employee saying “H for elephant”. Still makes me chuckle!
