  • montefisto13 Tim (@montefisto13) reported from Providence, Rhode Island

@13banger83 @MrCumbria80 @davemeltzerWON Time Warner that owned them . The AOL deal wasn’t finalized until a little over a month before WCW was sold. I’m sure the 24 months when the deal was being worked out didn’t help but AOL was buying a 150+ billion dollar company. The already failing WCW wasn’t a huge factor

  • bluesmama55 Blues Mama (@bluesmama55) reported from Pawtucket, Rhode Island

@JNureen @maydaymindy9 @AOL Thing is...I couldn't even contact aol. No email. No customer service. They just kept sucking up the money!! "you've got mail" and a monthly bill!!

  • DeadairDennis Deadair Dennis Maler (@DeadairDennis) reported from Providence, Rhode Island

@bmoredownbeats I’m “sent AOL IMs via SMS text” years old. And I couldn’t continue reading b. Too many typos in their headlines. Such a bad publication.

  • PennyAicardi Penny Aicardi 🎶 (@PennyAicardi) reported from Whitinsville, Massachusetts

@BryanShephard2 It is all set now!! They hacked my email and aol has this stupid loophole that allowed them to keep doing it over and over. I guess that will teach me to keep aol! The good thing is I've had texts & calls from people I haven't heard from in a long time... Mike, Derek, etc.

The post-Musk downfall of twitter reminds me a lot of what happened to huffington post. In the early days, it used be this fun, rambunctious, free-wheeling site, but after the AOL acquisition, it was totally gutted and became another boring, buzzfeed-esque pile of garbage.

  • andyborewall andyborewall (@andyborewall) reported

If #BTC fails, crypto fails If #BAYC fails, nft fails If aol fails, internet fails If myspace fails, social media fails If trapper keeper fails, documents fail

  • pondererco Ponderer (@pondererco) reported

@rickyshq We'll start a petition to bring AOL's dial-up connection back. 🙌 We need to slow down a bit.

  • irakli_zv Irakli.zv (@irakli_zv) reported

Want to skyrocket your headline CTR to stupid high numbers? Study: - Buzzfeed - AOL magazine - Money magazine - Reader's Digest - Psychology Today - Yahoo News - The Economist

  • Ooopsie416 Oopsie (@Ooopsie416) reported

@Xfinity @XfinitySupport Your website says there is not an outage, but my upload speeds are 0.2 Mbps. I think I had faster service from AOL dialup in 1998.

  • mikemdp Yeah Mike Yeah (@mikemdp) reported

@character_ai needs to figure its **** out in terms of user capacity. It's been all the tech buzz long enough to know it needs to address this. Seriously, it was easier to log on to AOL in 1993 with my landline than it is to #CharacterAI with my iPhone tonight.

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • Nerdsbeware Brandon Rojas 💖💜💙🏳️‍🌈 (@Nerdsbeware) reported

@Olloplays This is the worst haha. Doubly so when like a song samples in the noise or something. The discord noise of today is the AOL/AIM noise in Hellogoodbye's Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn of 2004 haha

  • InLeanWeTrust MartinLuther Lean (@InLeanWeTrust) reported

My dad had some American Greetings E-Card subscription & would send them shits while he was deployed. Me and my brother used to abuse that **** and send Love E-cards to the hoes we talked to in the AOL chat rooms 💀

  • IamRob2884 Rob (@IamRob2884) reported

@AumonierJohn @WalshFreedom I really can’t get over just how ******* dumb of a statement this is. I’ve been using social media since the AOL trial discs came in my gaming magazines, so I’ve read a lot of stupid comments, but this is hands down the absolute dumbest, most asinine comment I have ever read.
