@ComradeJae @hoboshutterbug ISP is Internet Service Provider. The people that your internet hooks up to. AOL-era the ISP didn't connect to your house, they had a room full of modems for people to call with their modems (computer internet phones).

@_TheShiv_ I know for me it comes from the AOL/AIM days where (at least in my experiences) if you were online and available, you were being rude by not replying. That has 100% changed with the rise of async communication, but I still apologise for prolonged reply times

@yokalli2 TOR is cool but I've had zero luck with it these past few years. How hard would it be to write a program that has a built in DNS like system for resolving sites on a totally private network? No google. Like a freedom AOL.
