@RMellagui Years ago in an AOL chat room several from a NY Zionist hate group did that to me. I reported them to the Southern Poverty Law Center to list as a hate group. They wouldn't despite the evidence so I never donated another dime.

AOL not issuing passwords for OUTLOOK, making communication difficult…….maybe time to dump AOL! They offer ZERO help………moving to gmail a primary if no change today.

@jbrukh It's a bit like if in 1999 AOL was revealed to have been doing horrible things w/ user info, stealing CC numbers, etc., and gone bankrupt and been discredited. Was it a killer app and the face of the internet for many early consumers? Yes, but...

@steve_vladeck In the 90s, I once shut down a server that the owner of the house I was housesitting at ran for his blues band to make aol run better so I could find chicks.

@YardleyShooting @TalkTalk I'd had AOL internet for 13 years but TalkTalk took over, cut off my dial-up connection without notice and then refused to discuss it over the live chat (using library internet). Still charged the following month so I had to put in a complaint and warn Barclaycard to stop them.

I'm downloading my Twitter archive, simply because I've spent time here refining big thoughts down to concise and precise wording, and I already went through losing bits of my consciousness like that with AOL, MySpace, hard drive crashes, and a CPU theft 22 years ago. Not again.

@chrislhayes It’s a meaningless claim. You can still buy a BlackBerry, sign up for aol email, and join MySpace because they never went away.
