@alanbush When I quit my $15/hr job as an operator (which was damn good for a 23 year old in 95) to go to AOL for $7/hr people said I was crazy. I told them our jobs would be automated away soon. They were out of their jobs before I moved on from supporting dial-up to cable modems.

@SunfyreTV Yes exactly!!! Hell famous doesn’t mean ****! I’ve seen several famous people make awful choices and the client doesn’t know any better and praises them to the sky. Skill isn’t related to popularity. Like AOL wasn’t the best dialup internet just the most famous ;).

@beckness My rules of thumb for such matters: (1) Don’t be a chump. (2) Don’t be an *******. Scraping for concert tix is on a completely different ethical plane than pushing past AOL grandfolks trying to figure out these sites, so tread carefully.

@FlayMark @view_raw Goldberg's not a problem. He's involved six weeks a year. WCW failed because when AOL and Time/Warner merged, they wanted to get out of the wrestling business.
