    When I graduated hikeschool in 1997 the internet was just becoming huge with AOL etc. I honestly believe the internet and specifically social media has caused and enabled a lot of the destruction of our country. Before then you didn’t have half the crazy problems we see now! 🤔

    @WrestlingInc WCW ended because of AOL/Time Warner. Period end of discussion. They didn't want it. It wasn't about bad business. Were they doing great no but the higher ups sabotaged the company to get rid of it basically

    @octal @TProphet Time share systems were really great central meeting places (the source) early on, as opposed to AOL which tried to be the entire internet. Telemail offering national (dialup access) email Addy in the 80s was also pretty wild, as long as you were on their service.
