@octothorpe PCPursuit wasn’t shenanigans. Totally legit service that let you use TeleNet (dial up backbone used by aol and compuserve) to make outbound calls in other regions. Was like $30/month. Now you could get to places to learn about shenanigans using it…

@graiz @alexiskold You never needed to understand TCP / IP to sign up for AOL. It feels like you do for Web3. It’s very hard for most to dip a toe in the water.

@ThatDrunkSim @MellowJeyPi Yeah, I had the game legally, but my sister’s email that she used for our Origin login got deactivated because it was an aol email so now we can’t play and I need my fix. I really miss my sims 😭😭

@NGA_GEOINT having serious issues with aol. Apple verified it to be my email but I can’t sign in. I used my Virgin Island phone number at AT & T.
