Sure did, that was my first OS as a kid. I remember installing Quake on that bad boy which was also my first FPS. and AOL ... and damn man time flies fast.

@rohanpaul_ai Two platforms controlling consumer AI. Sounds like Yahoo and AOL controlling the internet in 2000. The disruption never came from a better version of the same thing. It came from a completely different axis. The agentic layer underneath the chatbot is probably that axis - anyone else have other ideas?

when home computers became resonabally popular early win 98 i decided to get one to do cad for my inventions. i was not a geek but in a short time i found more problems with them than good things,but i wanted to learn, after a time i got better and saw where AOL dialup ,end

@adamlwingfield I'm still kicking and screaming for being forced into this digital nonsense. I know all that nonsense at the time (AOL chat rooms and free porn) would lead to more trouble than we can imagine. I appreciate the world of when Mr Coffee is a marvel of the time.
