For some reason, my in-laws have been on @AOL’s email service and now they forgot their password. Can’t retrieve it or reset it unless I pay for Premium service at $9.99 a month??? Online help doesn’t do anything. #ripoff

@KatAtDisney @jpalmerdubs I have one friend who’s still uses her same AOL account since she got it in the early 90’s. They also live so remote that they are on dial up. They never had a cell phone until last year until I gave her and her hubby our old iPhone 6x their lives have changed. lol still has AOL

@IWMcLaren @CinaedhVik @DelilahSDawson I know I was able to keep up with AOL chats and dip in and out with no problem back in the day, but my attention span has changed as I've aged or something. I cannot keep up with Discord and actually feel like I'm part of something.

@Section_230 @Cassi_______ @PaulTassi Zeran v AOL doesn't seem to counter my statement. My premise is that in return for this protection, service providers must comply with the regulatory framework. They are given the ability to engage in certain publisher activities, so long as they act in good faith.

@MrReaganUSA The twatter employees will simple start a new company, with all of twatter's secrets. Google was predominantly built by Netscape employees, after the merger between AOL and Netscape. Google would have never become the company that it is today, without Kordestani and others.

9. Nobody is making me use it, and nothing - not even the network effect - is really preventing someone from offering something substantially better. If they did, I suspect it would quickly go the way of Blackberry, Blockbuster, and AOL.

44 Billion dollars for this? Now is the time to collectively run away and make Twitter the AOL of 2022 and take down Morgan Stanley and BofA at the same time.

@FrankMcG @AccidentalCISO Facebook is horrible for build threads and such but the internet very much looks like AOL in the 90s walled garden that keeps people inside a few apps. You also have this thing where everyone wants to split up already small groups into sub groups and takes away from active users

@asymmetricinfo @conspirator0 Not if one believes Tesla is wildly overvalued. AOL/Time Warner was terrible for TW shareholders, but it was great risk management for AOL, which would have suffered more on its own. Disclaimer: I know nothing about Elon or the markets, they are mysteries.

@AOLSupportHelp Sorry for my insistence. I've done further tests and sent to you a DM with more details. I believe that the problem is not my Thunderbird, as the inconvenience also occurs with other software to manage mails.
