@HostileBuffalo I miss the AOL days when they IM you, so you send them a misdirected hyperlink. Instead of some game strategy, they're looking at the BME pain olympics (please never look that up) or ***********.

@Deadspin @JulieDiCaro AND treat Zombie Deadspin like they did Blockbuster and AOL.

That Tom Tomorrow guy (@tomtomorrow) reported
This was before the internet was anything other than dial-up and AOL and newsgroups, so the idea that a paper in geographic region X had to distinguish itself from a paper in geographic region Y that it's readers were never going to see was just insular and absurd.

@AmazonHelp Not helpful at all. FAQs doing fix the feed. Every other streaming service works fine. I have a ton of @Browns with the same problems. Is the @NFL trying to loose fans? This is like connecting through AOL

I swear I was writing at 12, but the earliest up on ff.n is from 2004... I think some of the stuff from before then is well and truly lost. I was working on an angsty YGO longfic that I was posting on my own AOL site, but I never finished it.

Thursday night football on Amazon Prime reminds me of AOL on a 14.4k dial up back in the day. @NFL you’re killing us. @AmazonprimeV sucks!

@JeffBezos @JeffBezos On the other hand, there's a fine line between "self-made" and "fluke". Like, in terms of timeline, you did arrive on the scene around the time dialups like AOL were fading out and online shopping was arriving on the scene to help fill the 'dialup frustration gap'.
