@AndrewBucholtz Let’s see, TolkienWeb and the precursor to IntotheWardrobe in 96 or 97. Then, briefly I signed up for XFiles aol groups , until AOL’s lack of filters sent disgusting x things. Bye bye AOL for that garbage.

@moviefan_i @robbystarbuck The appeal of smaller platforms is on them I've yet to see a cancel mob destroy a persons relationships and livelihood, then move on to do the same to their family members. We're at neo-AOL and big cable saying don't dial onto the internet because they haven't reviewed content.

@realSaganRitual @blaireerskine @AOC LOL damn. AOL was really that long ago?

@DodorododoTv @vodafone_de The worst internet experience I have ever had. I think AOL 20 years ago over my phone line was more consistent than Vodafone has been in the 3 years since I moved here. I’d recommend AOL 56k dialup over this joke of a company 👌🏼

@aolmail why isn’t your help section working

The tag-line is, in itself, horrible enough : 'Neighbours wake to sound of screaming' Odd that AOL doesn't just employ its usual, casual device of hesitant quotation-marks ? [Just as when we say 'I heard the sound of rain', but we mean that it sounded like rain, and it was ?]

@NeelBhula Lemme see, I started out on: Local BBs>Prodigy>Compuserve>MSN>AOL>Yahoo! Groups>SiliconInvestor>Bitcoin Forum>Reddit>FaceBook>Twitter>??? I do know what it feels like to be talking to a mostly empty room with no one left but the trolls. Only here for CT & FinTwit PolTwit sucks

@ispyradio @RonMilnerBoodle They have to fix that. I feel like aol 7.0 when im on it

@itxaropena Yes. Going from pagers to cell phones, AOL to the internet dial up. Call waiting. Word processors. BJ in the White House. 9/11. The new wars. Evolution of tv’s, PCs and data. Crazy will never leave us.

@Humanstein In ‘95, AOL had just hit the scene, but it cost money to be online. However, it was free to go in an AOL customer support chat room. So, ppl (I) would enter a support chat room and chat w/each other as much as possible (a/s/l) before the Admin would enter the chat. True pioneers!
