@shahselbe @rose_alibi One time in my dorm, my roomate had his volume way up and the AOL door sound went off around 3AM. I shot out of bed and went looking down the hall for the intruder.

@1WitchyChick When I used to be in the Connecticut AOL chat room (because yes, I'm old, and that was the thing to do in 1993), I always assumed that every woman I was speaking to weighed 300 lbs and was horrid. I was shocked when we all met, and there were some real stunners.

@NASA @NASAMars @NASAJPL I will never forget this mission. I was just getting online capability at home; good ole dial up AOL. I remember coming home from work to download the latest images. At dialup speeds, that often took hours, but it ushered in my appetite for news-on-demand. #IGotMail

@aolmail just had the absolute worst experience with your mail support team that resulted in me losing ALL of my emails. No resolution was offered, no accountability for the error your rep made. Serious error and more importantly grave consequences for me, your customer.

@NintendoDSfacts @letterboxdgirl oh nah i definitely agree in that respect. RYM used to be even worse, like 2001 AOL type ****. So yeah Letterboxd has the edge in UI, but overall they're very equal for me in functionality. RYM also has a bit of an edge in interacting with it's awful community, whereas

@KamalaNation @proreviewer1 Never used AOL, oddly enough. I DID briefly use K Mart's Blue Light free dial up service. It was as good as it sounds.
