My mom controlled our AOL account when I was about 13 and would come into my room to sign me in. So, I created an entirely fake AOL login flow in Visual Basic and had her sign me in once to capture the password. Old school phishing.

I tried to customize my Slack color scheme and it’s nothing short of appalling. Come to think of it, I never really was good at AOL color profiles, either.

@OfficialBBrooks To bad MetaMask can’t send CDs out like AOL back in the 90s Maybe a DAO needs to be funded to get advertising dollars together for a decentralized task force for spreading education and awareness to the laymen. Do what Honey did with MrBeast and other influencers on YouTube.

  • BillyBlacklight Profresher ¥€$ ॐ (@BillyBlacklight) reported

@BitcoinIsSaving @brockm Its almost like a gift card. So there could be problems with it. But considering…. It would be like coinbase earn or aol online free hour discs Even offering 5 usd worth of bitcoin to a billion people around the world would be wild.

@MPleasing72 This is such a narrow view of commerce, "online ****" can mean every single product you'd find in a store. AOL was pretty bad when it was on dial up but it still was groundbreaking and then the tech got better over time.

  • Dripsaodex permatrip (@Dripsaodex) reported

@AOL big shout out to you guys for locking me out of my very first email account bc I don't have access to an old phone number to 'verify' then wasting 30 min of my time with a $4.99 a month customer service to be told there's nothing that can be done👍 Y'all kick ***!!

  • ChargeKick Ricky Valid 🇩🇴 (@ChargeKick) reported

when i was 16 this girl from an AOL chat room gave me her phone number and told me to call her and when i did she asked if "last resort" by papa roach said "cut my life into pieces" or "cut my life in two pieces" and then with no pause asked me to go down on her
