My mom controlled our AOL account when I was about 13 and would come into my room to sign me in. So, I created an entirely fake AOL login flow in Visual Basic and had her sign me in once to capture the password. Old school phishing.

@jpawgmafia Downloading the STATE logos off of AOL online and printing them up and putting them in my room. That aged the **** out of me.

I tried to customize my Slack color scheme and it’s nothing short of appalling. Come to think of it, I never really was good at AOL color profiles, either.

@AOL Poor lady she tried to help. Maybe if she would have helped the student pay they would have left her alone. Very sad.🙁

AOL! TERRIBLE! It was to mean “America On Line”! Could not keep a tech advisor complete a help request on line to resolve problems with my email. Jess said “hello, what seems to be the problem” then disappeared and I had to pay to get him on line to start! VERIZON wake up please!

@GWhittonPhoto @AndrewHookerPh1 @MadsPeterIverse Ha. From a personal perspective you’re probably right. From a wider perspective though I’m not confident that Ethereum won’t just utterly fail and people will lose lots of money. For example, MySpace and AOL were huge tech companies until they weren’t.

Also, I learned to type via my first pc that had AOL installed. I ended up frequenting an AOL trivia chatroom. At the beginning, I knew most of the answers but was so slow with my two index fingers. Eventually got better at it just because I wanted to win trivia rounds.

@henry0eth @NathanHeadPhoto Agree, that is why something like @LooksRareNFT is so important to support, even though I do not like the wash trading that goes on there. I am old enough to remember Netscape Navigator, AOL Explorer etc...Where are they now? Opensea will crumble like those early giants

look online for help with things like this. I never saw any of those weird cheesy videos talk show hosts like make fun of nowadays, and I rarely went online to do anything more than play neopets, chat with people with AOL chat, and visit an occasional forum.
