My mom controlled our AOL account when I was about 13 and would come into my room to sign me in. So, I created an entirely fake AOL login flow in Visual Basic and had her sign me in once to capture the password. Old school phishing.

  • rod4p Paul Rodriguez (@rod4p) reported from San Francisco, California

@AOL I agree. The problem is a lot of people either can't afford or have no room to store clothes. Very sad.😐

  • pkellner pkellner (@pkellner) reported from San Francisco, California

@julielerman @AOL My dad asked me once why his computer was so slow. He said he had bought some software from Nigeria for a great deal that was suppose to speed it up.

I tried to customize my Slack color scheme and it’s nothing short of appalling. Come to think of it, I never really was good at AOL color profiles, either.

  • rod4p Paul Rodriguez (@rod4p) reported from San Francisco, California

@AOL I feel bad for her. This guy wanted to cheat on his wife [ she didn't know he was married ] Then wanted to get rid of the problem when he was to dumb to use protection. 😐

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • XRandrew Andrew Woodberry (@XRandrew) reported

The main thing weighing on the stock price is the unknown. First in, or loudest, is not always the winner. Look at AOL. AOL was the internet. Then they completely tanked. Too much spending, bad business plan, the brand crumbled under the weight of a million mailed CDs.

  • adamguest Adam Guest (@adamguest) reported

@RokerReport Somebody get @WeePhillie down to the AoL pronto

  • SonyaLynn SonyaInTheBin (@SonyaLynn) reported

@MizDanaClaire True…but those didn’t cease to be funny until ppl stopped doing ‘em. Trust me that none of the tech support horror stories are apocryphal. Those exact calls—Any key, cup holder, mouse as sewing pedal, and more—have been fielded by so many techs! I did phone support for AOL.

  • Darchmare Jeff — 💉💉+💉 (@Darchmare) reported

@kitchen It's true. We'd keep a pen and a bunch of old AOL punchcards near the phone for taking down notes about calls.

  • JCTrick JCTrick 🕹 (@JCTrick) reported

Holy ****… 🤭 I was lost in thought contemplating #StarLink… and I 😵‍💫 had a weird realization. Starlink 😐 is just AOL for space.

  • AgnosticLeigh 🦄♀🏳️‍🌈♉𝕷𝖊𝖎𝖌𝖍💚😷💉💉 (@AgnosticLeigh) reported

@proskulldrawer Hell I remember the original AOL chat rooms and the **** I would accidentally stumble into. Today's internet is even crazier and many parents I'm sure have absolutely no clue what their precious innocent children are looking up.

  • TaoFaith Constantine (@TaoFaith) reported

@CarlMuhlstein @WarnerMedia @qz I worked there. After the Warner and AOL mergers is became a **** show.

  • wgrimes84 💎Diamond Hands💎Wes (@wgrimes84) reported

@sherrod_im Our second computer had a 9600bps modem and Windows 3.1. We got a firmware upgrade to 14.4. We had AOL then lol. Internet was STUPID basic. Has changed a lot lol

  • kielwats0n Kiel Watson (@kielwats0n) reported

Can someone get @WeePhillie down to the AOL to see if Keane is there ?

  • Tweeter_IR TWEETER IR (@Tweeter_IR) reported

@philippineTesla @howardlindzon You could probably run $TWTR like an AOL dial-up service at 80% margins and make cash
