I tried to customize my Slack color scheme and it’s nothing short of appalling. Come to think of it, I never really was good at AOL color profiles, either.

My mom controlled our AOL account when I was about 13 and would come into my room to sign me in. So, I created an entirely fake AOL login flow in Visual Basic and had her sign me in once to capture the password. Old school phishing.

@pecriel @SundaeRedux @AOL I have had to strenuously convince people they do not need to pay for AOL,, and this was 10 years ago. I have always wondered how many people would still be paying today.. Holy moly. What a scam. YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY FOR AOL - unless you have dial up. CANCEL AOL NOW.

@ScottGreenfield My personal email is still AOL for the same reason. I don't understand the arrogance over an e-mail address. They all work the same. In fact, google e-mail is awful with how it bunches everything together, even after you've forwarded something to a third party.

@cjrmurphy1 @SundaeRedux @AOL good points, however I only use the free aol version. I use other programs for security (Norton has it's own issues). But for the basic aol mail set up, it's just not as complicated as many others (rules, filters, etc) AOL is like "email for dummies"(me) so I feel in control.
