  • davidbyttow David Byttow (@davidbyttow) reported from San Francisco, California

My mom controlled our AOL account when I was about 13 and would come into my room to sign me in. So, I created an entirely fake AOL login flow in Visual Basic and had her sign me in once to capture the password. Old school phishing.

  • thetylerhayes Tyler Hayes 🍩 bring donuts (@thetylerhayes) reported from San Francisco, California

@joshelman AOL was a literal life changer for me. That dial up sound may be awful but even to this day it makes me want to go back a little

  • rod4p Paul Rodriguez (@rod4p) reported from San Francisco, California

@AOL Poor lady she tried to help. Maybe if she would have helped the student pay they would have left her alone. Very sad.🙁

  • jjsignal JJSignal™ (@jjsignal) reported from El Cerrito, California

@The_Katbot It was also the reason I managed to push my parents off of AOL and move on to a better ISP, since AOL required its launcher to be open to stay online. I think it was a common complaint. Before that, I would use Net Zero accounts until I was flagged as a "heavy user" good times.

  • rod4p Paul Rodriguez (@rod4p) reported from San Francisco, California

@AOL I agree. The problem is a lot of people either can't afford or have no room to store clothes. Very sad.😐

  • rod4p Paul Rodriguez (@rod4p) reported from San Francisco, California

@AOL I feel bad for her. This guy wanted to cheat on his wife [ she didn't know he was married ] Then wanted to get rid of the problem when he was to dumb to use protection. 😐

@theskyismymuse @BLAllenBooks Oh yeah, I remember Juno! I had AOL, once they went unlimited, and I paid for it myself once I got a checking account when I turned 15. Parents didn't know how to use it or anything, so I was able to do whatever I wanted, haha. Somehow stayed out of too much trouble, though.

  • jsnbase Jeremy Sean (@jsnbase) reported

@melissavcomedy I never thought I'd want the internet to go back to the 8,000-AOL-disk days, but here we are. At least then there were at least one or two things that didn't send somebody into a frothy little rage.

  • Artfclntllgnc Ron DeSandtits (@Artfclntllgnc) reported

why do ATMs work slow like they're running off of AOL dialup?

  • DrummerChick44 Allison B (@DrummerChick44) reported

  • ww3data ww3 update (@ww3data) reported

Sites like YouTube and Twitter have got to realize they monopolize Communications in this country yeah we used to have AOL chat rooms and other type of chat but all that got shut down when these big platforms open and people want to want to talk you have no right to silence them

  • KeepingKen 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿ken keeping🇺🇦 (@KeepingKen) reported

@topjob66t Curious that's all. It was once out main Internet supplier over here and almost everyone I know had a aol email account. If I remember rightly it was when we had dial-up connection, lol. Way basic compered to what we have now. Youngsters don't belive when I tell them how slow.

  • stephengracin Steve Gracin (@stephengracin) reported

Apparently the login for my IMDb account is my AOL email address. This should be interesting.

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password

  • CapeWords Cape Words (@CapeWords) reported

@GailSimone Is there a real article about this? Or is it purely made up. I can’t seem to find anything. It’s funny, but not cool that it’s attributed to an actual site. Comedy should never be censored, but stuff like this tips it’s hat in the direct of misinformation by claiming its from AOL

  • therealconno conno (@therealconno) reported

Damn what ever happened to AIM used to be lit back in the day. @AOL need to make a comeback
