@ccwu I remember being a Quantum Link subscriber on my Commodore 64 and 300 baud modem and that service disappearing fairly quickly. I only learned later from Kara Swisher's book on AOL that Quantum Link was the precursor to AOL.

@maximlott @PCivilization @PrisonPlanet The barriers to creating a web site are far lower than creating a power company. We’ve had competing social network companies for years, from AOL to MySpace to G+. Creating another WalMart would be harder, but we don’t demand they give away products for free.

@octothorpe PCPursuit wasn’t shenanigans. Totally legit service that let you use TeleNet (dial up backbone used by aol and compuserve) to make outbound calls in other regions. Was like $30/month. Now you could get to places to learn about shenanigans using it…

@AOLSupportHelp i am using windows live mail with my verizon email account, i have login issues, i think this is due to 3rd party security issues, on other email accounts, i was able to turn off this security, how can i tell aol email to use this program?

@Angry_Staffer At work in CT.I watched the 1st plane hit on my laptop thru the aol app in the corner of my screen. By the time the first building went down the whole office was crammed into our conf rm watching onTV. I was the 1st & only one to say that this was Bin Laden’s work.Lost friends😭

They use the web itsself, full of functionality. Noone will use broken BTC. They will use BitCoin $BSV - the real bitcoin thats capable

@amandajpanda Verizon is my isp, they sold off their email service to AOL. You’ve got mail! They were my first dial up provider and until this happened I was sure they were long gone.

@AOLSupportHelp hi stuck in a loop trying to log in. My neighbour is 80yo and can’t get into his mails. Trying to login and it keeps asking us if we are a robot and sending a verification code to an account we can’t access. Not sure how to get a round this problem. Can you help??
