    @hafRICOhaf @ryder_ripps I guess people got online and eventually got far away from aol, and it was laughably bad for anyone who remembers using it

    @masterofbeanies @fabtcg I’m convinced that back in the days of AOL I must have ignored a chain message that said if I didn’t pass it along to 10 friends that I’d have bad luck for the rest of my life, and now it just decide to come true as I’m addicted to FaB.

    Remember AOL keywords? In the 90's companies were advertising their AOL keywords, like Nickelodeon had commercials that said **** like "or check us out online at AOL keyword nick"

  • SmittySec RichieB (@SmittySec) reported

    I've seen the stupid human tricks played in AOL chat rooms, IRC, and bars in my late teens/early 20s. Abusers will play towards doubt, reasonableness, and folks new to their game. An audience gathers round, and they plead their case. No one is there to counter them usually.

  • CodyZonneveld CZonny (@CodyZonneveld) reported

    @gurgavin @stocktalkweekly Gurg is AOL a valid comparison for what can happen if Instagram revenue dies down? FB itself is garbage these days. AOL enjoyed a $200 billion market cap. Long but not retirement long

  • dangaron Dan Garon (garon.eth) | Consensus & NFT.NYC (@dangaron) reported

    @howardlindzon They’re afraid if you do anything other than watch their bad content then you won’t want to pay them the monthly fee. They’re the AOL of fitness.

  • keepkalm Kyle Alm (@keepkalm) reported

    @cdils I used to have a phone support job back in college. It was AOL + Amway pyramid scheme, the IRS does seem a lot worse.

    @mlberrors Probably slow as AOL
