Will someone make a meme please about people who are still mad that U2 conspired with Apple to give them free music that they didn’t like? You know? They setup their new computer and there’s like AOL or something on it and they ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Free U2 and they lose their ****?!

@RickMcCracken @surajit_ghosh2 6 Mbps? No, Artemis is using a 260 Mbps laser-based link to transmit all data. With those speeds, we should be getting damn near 4K feeds from these live streams. We know they are getting WAY SHARPER images and feeds than the AOL Dial-up images they are providing us live.

@RoKhanna @andersoncooper Ro Khanna should get back to answering phones for AOL and leave American issues to Americans

@_PaleblueDot__ @AndrewMinOK @AuronMacintyre ****. Too young to get groomed on AOL, too old to have been a sound cloud rapper.

@RossKneeDeep 17. No Walkman or waterbed and I never saw any reason to use AOL.

@reprinted3D @SirayaTech @snapmaker I never used AOL or compuserve. I first had internet in 1992. Had my First htm (before it was largely called html) based website in 92, made by notepad. Had a couple geocities and angelfire sites also. Browsed using Netscape.

@old_memory That sound to me was "Hurry ******** up and connect so I can see if that *** from California messaged me back on AOL instant messenger."

@SlapThePenguin @TheGoldenDays Correct me if I'm wrong, but these didn't normally connect to the internet. Rather, they connected to a (usually local) BBS. I'm sure that some eventually signed up for an online service (like AOL) on these, but most were modems that connected directly to the phone line.

@RossKneeDeep 19. Because AOL was laughable garbage and I already had an email address.

@itsKARY_ Those days when we used our slow *** phone lines for AOL and if someone picked up the phone to dial out it dropped your internet connection 😭

@cdrsalamander I had an account on AOL in 92 plus my .edu email accessible from a terminal/command line interface (windows machines showed up the next year). Briefly had Compuserve (gave me a discount on a laptop), but had Gmail by 2005, never looked back.
