@meeware I sadly agree on your last point about recovering. I've been 'social' online since the beginning. '93 on usenet. Music forums. Even Compuserve rooms. Early Yahoo chat. ICQ! etc. CuSeeMe. NEVER AOL. :) It was a few years ago when I first thought "Oh no! What have we done!"

  • NewJerseyGirl31 Christine Palma (@NewJerseyGirl31) reported

@AOL You had a couple who did not get along and should of separated years ago but families hope something good would come out of it and it didn't :( To bad they weren't smart enough to walk away and realize it, they would be here today :(

  • JeffFisch FSD Beta Jeff in Austria (@JeffFisch) reported

@GordonJohnson19 suggesting $TSLA is like $AOL is a cute punchline, but ridiculous. AOL chose to remain with dialup tech, letting competitors overtake. #tesla never settles for their technology advantages.

The $8 internet service on this @southwestair flight is operating like……..like it only cost $8. Reliving the AOL dial up days.

  • Rezman5 Resnick the Polymath (@Rezman5) reported

@gonefullcrypto Sure, right after ethereum flips btc. Predictions like this are pointless, imo. If you asked someone in 1998 if AOL would still be king in 2008, most people would have said yes. What if a third network shows up and beats out both? Hedging is better than predicting.

  • SDiezal Diezal (@SDiezal) reported

So I'm at work and a older customer's phone notification went off for something she got and it was the AOL "You got mail" alert. I was stunned.
