Verizon should have never bought Yahoo and AOL, but it's good to see them shed those and refocus. AT&T should have never bought Tim Warner, but it's good to see them soon both that and DTV off. T-Mobilr should have never bought Layer3 TV. Etc.

@AmyDentata It's the same reason why gaudy desktop PC lights are a mess of vendor lock-in, And why we've reinvented the bad old days of infinite cable bundles and of AOL channels (which is about the nicest way I can think to describe the deliberate interop friction between social media apps)

in my head i’m still in the early 2000s tbh. like we were just using dial up, wtf is 5G and Xfinity ??? I miss hearing “you’ve got mail” when i logged into AOL! i miss beepers and chirp phones. ughhhhhhh

@SuperBumRush @HausRebel @WrestlingInc There have been accusations that WWE is booking like WCW2000. Bad Bunny even getting a match with the WWE Championship on the line would be confirmation that WWE has become WCW, and we will see what would have happened if AOL didn’t pull the plug.

@AOLSupportHelp Are you sending out emails with the subject title "Action Required The AOL Team" at the moment? The email says AOL teamed up with OATH & terms of service need to be accepted other service will be stopped on 2nd March. I can see the other email recipients.😦👀

@Anakha56 @SwiftOnSecurity The lot who bought it have done far more damage than the almost 15 years aol had it imho. Though changing user behaviour did far more 'damage' than any corporate action.

@Brizzleboybill it depends on if they did a preauth, a lot of subscription services do, esp the scumbag ones... i used to work for JP Morgan/Chase/BankOne credit card division, and AOL in billing, both customer service... so be very nice to the call center people no matter what lolol
