@LDBurnett @USATODAY If you subscribe and want to cancel, you actually have to make a phone call and talk to what seems to be a former AOL employee who will refuse to let you cancel until they sense you're about to lose your temper.

One of my earliest internet memories is, when we first got an AOL account in like 1994, I uploaded a picture of Bartman that my 4 year old brother drew in KidPix and many months later a stranger emailed me "Just wanted to say that this sucks so bad!"

@blkwolf999 @WrestleCringe Naw. AOL Time Warner just straight up did not want wrestling. They never did but Ted vetoed any attempts to close down WCW prior to the merger. Once the merger was complete that power was gone and other divisions dumped their expenses on WCW’a books before selling it off.

the people who created beepers and AOL screen names are just as legendary as whoever is creating this new augmented virtual reality… who are these people!!?? Lol.. problem is we just know the names Apple, IBM, Meta, etc…I need an interview with the mount Rushmore of coders/ET’s

@topazlisa1 Most tech launches have issues, they are probably overwhelmed with the outpouring of people trying to join, it will take a few weeks to work the bugs out, I remember win 95, AOL, myspace, facebook...ect all has many things to fix early on...
