@dandyprof I didn’t get a computer until my late 20s because I was POOR! But my parents had computers at home since the early 80s because it was their business. I met B on an AOL message board. It’s also the first place I ever talked to @inzombia! That lady is woefully misinformed.

the AoL's living room had no overhead light, & we never got enough lamps in there to make it feel well-lit. my little lr here in gunny has an overhead light, & i have a floor lamp i bought off the marketplace last year, & it's so well-lit, i just really appreciate it.

@ChrisBedell Dating myself here but the AOL message boards used to get a lot of soap fan action back in the day. I connected virtually with fellow soap fans years ago that I have never met in person and yet we still remain in contact today via social media.

@everywhereist AOL was a brand new world for me when I was 13. AOL chatrooms were huge, colorful, terrible and fun. I still have friends, 20+ years later, from those days, even though I never met them. . We raided chatrooms pretending to be cows. It was the wild west. There were no rules.
