@CDCarter13 "is displeasing to you that i referred to your historically bad rookie quarterback as ineffective? i spent my formative on AOL newsgroups arguing over the Pyramid Song time signature. you cannot phase me."

  • JayneTownsley Jayne Townsley (@JayneTownsley) reported

@Mrbound666 @lordmatcauthon I just ranted about Faramir. And trust me, we may not have had Twitter but the AOL boards were VERY heated over the issue. Not appreciating that one thing doesn't make me "less than."

  • ImBrentJames Brent James (@ImBrentJames) reported

@dorfsmay AOL and Yahoo had the network effect, too. Facebook is a swamp of negativity and old habits and it’s censored in such a way as to shape people’s thoughts. It’s an abomination, but worst of all… it’s lame.

  • TheMovieMan17 👻Tim Meyers 🎥 (@TheMovieMan17) reported

@NintendoBlackC Everyone in Link's Awakening I suppose. Most in Majora's Mask unless you help them. Flute Boy in ALTTP. The sleeping Zelda in AOL who's been asleep who knows how long. There's quite a few in the series.

  • XanozIchimonji 🌸Xanoz (@XanozIchimonji) reported

Ya'll can keep giving Nintendo new money for old services. And not even getting the old services just bad emulation of them with new bad online. Clips I'm seeing of n64 on Switch looks like it's running on a Tiger Handheld connected to AOL dial up 🤢

  • KeithOsmun Enders Backgammon (@KeithOsmun) reported

@Too_Big_To_Fail Is it wrong of me to feel like I know exactly how bad this email would be by noticing it's an AOL email account?

  • fielllllllll fiel (@fielllllllll) reported

  • dyddsplat_g Dyddsplat (Galli) (@dyddsplat_g) reported

@SarahDanielsTV I remember signing into AOL at like 2 in the morning on a school night and running into my room just in case my mom came out to tell me to go back to bed. It never worked.

  • jasonaneff Jason Neff (@jasonaneff) reported

@KayKilbride Having to explain things like phone books, corded home phones, and AOL dial up service to people who have never lived without wifi and cell phones.

  • mlanger ᗰᗩᖇIᗩ ᒪᗩᑎGEᖇ 💉😷 (@mlanger) reported

@jaldous I think that if more people just got off Facebook and their user base began to decline, they'd get him out. They're already having trouble attracting young people. It'll be like MySpace -- totally irrelevant -- in about 5-10 years. Look at AOL. CompuServe. Prodigy.
