@____Marcell When I was like 15 I wanted to get around AOL’s rate limit to message faster. I figured out how to watch network traffic and made my own client app before long. Rate limits were on the server, so then I learned how to make a server. That’s to say, dig into the format and code.

@DellAnnaLuca @_happycactus_ @RobertoBurioni AND a pie chart. I’m going for “never had to do it before and whoever’s in charge of the relevant organization put the task on the person who got the mandated Quattro Pro training in 94” They’ll learn if they are on twitter but then again they may still be on the aol ecosystem

Something I saw in an AOL profile "a while" ago: I am _not_ a brat! It's just a slight verbal emission control problem.

Jake Hamby (@jhamby) reported from Los Angeles, California
It was a mess for AOL in the short term because their customers started complaining about busy signals because of the greatly increased popularity of accessing both AOL and the Internet through their service. As a teenager, I’d cycle between the different services to try them.
