@trindels23 @JackPosobiec If everyone stopped publicizing morons like AOL, Ilhan, & these random anti-USA persons, they would not garner any celeb status under celeb worship culture’s rule of “no publicity is bad publicity.”

@nemalki Re: Boomerang, sprucing up the streaming service by adding more older CN shows might be nice. A discount bundle with HBO Max could be an option, but wonder if it’s too niche vs Max. Re: AT&T, worse case scenario is they pull an AOL and spin off WarnerMedia?

@BeijingPalmer Ah, the "good old days"... AOL rando: "Wait, you're not female?" Me: "No, sorry." AOLr: "That's so weird!" Me: "How so?" AOLr: "You're like ... nice ... in chat rooms." Me: "So, not running around like a rabid ******* on a 4-day ****** binge makes me seem female to you?"

@NJGov The first dude I ever met off AOL I met here when I was 18. Outside a restaurant named Champs. He was like “Do you like this?” and pulled down the neckline of his shirt (he was muscular). I said, “No.” It was at that moment I hated douchebags. I went home.

after the crash of the internet bubble in 2001, 80% of internet stocks never ever regained their highs again - names like Yahoo AOL disappeared or were bought while Cisco took 20 years to come back. Amazon was luckier.

@BloggerAnthony AOL's imagination wasn't compatible with their reality. They still bet on phone modems and not broadband. They bet the internet would be centered around their aging service. When the internet didn't equal AOL, the end was nigh.

@timesnewemma I remember getting some AOL dial up card for a limited but free connection through the phone jack. It was incredibly slow. I probably asked Jeeves something.
