  • francehopper Stephen J. Weber (@francehopper) reported from Portland, Oregon

Mother of god. Mihoyo might have actually QA’d the 1.2 build of Genshin before rolling it out. Text bugs are mostly fixed, HDR support, and loading screens are no longer like waiting to connect to AOL. The dumpster fire is finally no more.

  • CHawksRun Chris Hawks (@CHawksRun) reported from King City, Oregon

@Lunarfaze44 @espn Ha ha. I’m a notoriously bad speller. I remember when I was young single using AOL and would occasionally chat with a single girl. They would invariably call me out as a liar that I couldn’t be a law student with my poor spelling. Funny

  • _CHMST Terminally Chill🧪🧪 (@_CHMST) reported from Portland, Oregon

Crazy that we used to play games like Diablo 2 on ******* dial up internet Had to open up AOL and wait for that shit to connect -then connect in game And I had to wait til night time where no one was expecting a phone call

  • lo__foto Lo 🌞 (@lo__foto) reported from Portland, Oregon

@RachelWenitsky I still have an aol email address that I send most of my unwanted promotional shit I sign up for to and some old subscriptions I never moved over to my gmail 😂😂

@charlie__hussle @garrettkidney He's def an idiot, but turner/aol was a big reason as well.. they didn't want to keep investing after a couple down years. They just wanted profit. But yeah, bishoff sucked for the most part. Walked into the biggest faction ever and watered it down to irrelevancy.

  • arvinforoutan Arvin Foroutan (@arvinforoutan) reported

I never complain about things not being as good as they used to be because the old stuff is still available. Right next to the new stuff, at your fingertips, waiting to be streamed I used to have to download mp3's on AOL on a 28.8K modem. Y'all can't tell me nothin about nothin

  • RAMPAGE1963 RAMPAGE1963 Get your shot, I got mine (@RAMPAGE1963) reported

@muskrat_john Sounds like cancelling AOL. About the only to them to cancel your account was to report your card lost or stolen so they couldn't charge it anymore

  • boettchersketch Sounds like Etcher (@boettchersketch) reported

@electroboyusa I do tech support for people that send me emails to describe their tech problems. A large percentage of those emails to me come from AOL email addresses. You are not the only one.

  • Gojira007X Gojira007 (@Gojira007X) reported

@BootlegGirl Oh? My friends and I were using AIM literally right up until AOL shut it down completely in 2017 at which point we all chose to essentially re-convene on Discord. I don't doubt you're right, that's just not what my own experience was like.

  • lalarandoms (@lalarandoms) reported

Already triggered by “you know how expensive AOL is.” The way my mom used to say that **** to me as a kid- and AIM and chat room 😭 😭 I miss the good ol’days.

  • robdaemon Rob (@robdaemon) reported

@ShortFormErnie Given the history of AOL and their dubious customer service practices (like, it was near impossible to cancel), none of this surprises me. Culture like that starts at the top.

  • MrsMcGillicuddy "Step One is step one." 🇺🇸🍾🎉🌎🌞 (@MrsMcGillicuddy) reported

@AimingHigher11 @electroboyusa Yeah, me too. I got the Gmail email addy bc G requires me to. It's a variation of my aolmail one. Can never remember the passwords to either bc I'm always logged in. I guess we're s'posta change pw every so often for security; now might be a good time. 🙃

  • desertrose31773 flyingspaghettimonster (@desertrose31773) reported

Can’t believe Isaac really hit me with the “my girlfriend is uncomfortable with us talking” but when I had a bf, who was in my EMAILS all the damn time?? My ex bf was so mad I literally downloaded aol onto my desktop so I could block this dudes email 😭😭

  • housesitter_ Mr. Ten Dollars (@housesitter_) reported

@guldeuxchats it's a fair candidate for the worst one i think, and thats including the DS ones and AoL
