Anyone else remember restarting solitaire or free cell on windows 97 until you had a “good hand”? Someone was on the phone so you couldn’t use AOL on dial-up and your only other options were minesweeper or hearts. Hearts wasn’t too bad though. Technology was better back then.

@CP24 There is not one person under 40 who watches mainstream news. Zero. Nadda. Their time is ending. Like a landline. Like AOL. This is an old folks issue. I asked all my kids and their friends who LaFlamme was and not one could answer.

@p0t4to1 Like I said, 20 years ago Google was a nobody and everybody said they would never defeat AOL, MSN, and yahoo. Yet here we are. The internet ever evolves. The kings rise and fall. I was here since floppy disks. I've been here since chat rooms were the "socials". I've seen it all.

People who think YouTube can never be toppled aren't old enough to remember 20 years ago when everyone said a little company named Google would never dethrone Yahoo, AOL, & MSN as the leading home pages & search engines. YET HERE WE ARE. YT *can* and *will* be replaced one day.

Cancelling SiriusXM radio reminds me of trying to cancel AOL or a newspaper subscription in the 1990s, but with a chat window
