  • gooonicorn Wendy’s Hot Mic (@gooonicorn) reported

I’ve gained even more respect for Candiace bc at the height of her hate train, she never fled. Mama was fighting a Twitter militia for 3 seasons. - EYE would have told MCI to cut the phone poles and called AOL to make my email stop, à la GEB #RHOP

  • Kamranny1 Kamran (@Kamranny1) reported

AOL was the original social network. It was like an online version of high school. All those CDs that came in the mail made for good frisbees.

  • AlexvrbX Alexvrb (@AlexvrbX) reported

@WanderingCGking My hand-me-down 486 Packard Bell came loaded with Windows 3.11, I'd load up DOS for gaming only. I borrowed the restore disc for a newer Packard Bell machine and used it to reformat and install Win95 so I could run some newer stuff (poorly) and use AOL (slowly - 9600 baud modem).

  • AickmanWill Will Aickman (@AickmanWill) reported

@MrEwrites @IronhavenWorld He's still basically analog, never got the hang of social media--has an email address because you have to these days, but that's it. (He's still using an AOL account if you can believe it.) In the end he's just the product of a different Age

@The2ndQuest @ryanqnorth Nothing about this is correct, my dad worked at AOL I know what using it was like. Plus their core business was being a service provider, the whole thing encouraged people to use browsers with the service, they even bought NetScape cos they thought it was a killer option to give

  • CaseIHRedZone MAINSTREET BLAKE MAGAZINE. (@CaseIHRedZone) reported from Waterloo, Iowa

i remember the 90s me and everts were little puber miscreants, and we were like let's get in a chatroom and say **** and we did (underlined) and my family had to send a letter of apology to twitter i mean AOL, and that's why i'm not really worried about what goes on on here
