I’ve never been on Discord, but did it basically replace AOL chat rooms? I was just thinking how some hipster is going to revive early AOL nostalgia soon and replicate those chaotic random chat rooms people got pushed into.

@cedrocket Thanks for the clarification. I am not at all a fan of "pushing left," but that's just me. and to be clear, I am a STRONG supporter of the full $3.5T BBB. My complaint was the AOL/Jayapal crew trying to hold Infrastructure as hostage.

a bad game *used* to be bad forever, but he said that in an era when patching console games was physically impossible, most people thought AOL was the entire internet, and trying to download anything bigger than a GameFAQs walkthrough meant leaving the computer on overnight
