    I only ever got an AOL address as part of signing up for AIM. Other than that, I mostly used it to send spam and to sign up for iTunes (which is a problem, actually, because my AOL account was killed due to inactivity and I can't recover the password for it.

    @rinoalane @hannahposts I’m a 1 because I personally never had an AOL email address. I had an AIM screen name, of course, but I was at Yahoo for email.

    @mattrly "old enough"—blocked. I think AIM technically allowed me to access AOL mail? Never used it but I think the option was there. All it takes for most of these is to have a parent or grandparent who has outdated tech.
