@JamesKruczek Like I said, it ain't about a **** measuring contest. That's a 12 year old's domain of debate. I always extended the olive branchi between EU books and Disney's canon books which I read for a first hand exp. to properly praise or criticise them in my reviews. All of it stopped when we all figured out their retarded tactic of slurring the fandom for Disney's financial woes and blaming "toxic male" men with feminist slogans. It's a shame because some modern SW comics were great until they started making everyone gay and introducing "the message". Either way, Disney never gave their "Canon" the chance to shine or compare to the infinitely more compelling epic scope of 40+ year EU world, second only maybe to Warhammer 40K lore. I have a hard time believing you even now, that you couldn't find a single EU novel compelling. Really? Not even one? If you hate them that's fine. Personal opinions are no chip off my shoulder. I can only speak to what I observed at my comic shop and tens of thousands of Star Wars fans I interacted with over the years, from AOL chat rooms, to Prequel fan site message boards, to NYC libraries and my film school. Love it or hate it, most of us knew it as Star Wars canon. We never threw the term around because it wasn't necessary to call spade a spade.

@NickMinock This is what happns when you bring in so many foreign nationals from third world or Communist countries to fuel the development of the awful data centers now proliferating in Loudon County. It all started with the AOL campus and has just gotten to the point, as forewarned, where the fabric of our society begins to decay. Now you know what that means and how that decay might manifest itself. You have 2 options, move the hell out, that is what I did or get them all the hell out! We don't need data centers we need healthy happy kids!

Tearing down Astroworld was a stupid move, and a terrible waste. I guess the New York execs were trying to do something 'smart', after AOL played them for being dumber than a rock… 😢

One time around 17 y o I went to a Paul Oakenfold show in SLC - He signed my Tranceport CD .. was in my back pocket. Robby went to not even going to lie to you a guy I liked named Robby's house. I broke the cd :( no clue where that mfcker is. I waas a heathen. the season of my life I could write a TV show for would def be this one and maybe like 1 or 2 others. BYU students / RM's blowing me up on xy / aol and Yahoo, MSN... was definitely pioneer territory. and not just because I'm from Provo. In this new age. the new way. The systems of power and control will never again allow for such debauchery. They didn't scan your ID back then. There was nothing to scan it with.

WCW had been losing millions of dollars for years before they closed shop. If AOL/Time Warner wanted WCW on their networks, they’d probably still be around today in some form. People comparing WCW to WWE never cease to make my head hurt. WCW folded because they were the number two and folded under the pressure of going after number 1. They would’ve had a better chance without the merger but they were still fighting the odds. It’s a lot easier for the number two to fold up shop than it ease for number 1 to fall to number 2. Especially when the gap is as wide as it is with WWE and AEW.

The AOL dial-up screech was a real-time negotiation between two modems; each tone a specific protocol signal exchanged between your machine and the ISP. Engineers made the entire handshake audible by design. Users kept unplugging their modems during the connection, and the reason users kept unplugging their modems during the connection is that they were unplugging their modems during the connection.

1 - AOL messages didn't save back then (actually they never saved), so we don't have to worry about maggie finding those!
