Yat Siu @ysiu puts the value split at 90 to 95 percent to the application that owns the customer, with gas fees going to the chain underneath. Polymarket's private valuation is 8 billion dollars. Polygon, the chain Polymarket is built on, is a lot smaller. His analogy is the mid 90s, when AOL bought Time Warner and the ISPs were the giants of the moment. AT&T is worth a lot of money today. It is smaller than Google, Apple and Nvidia. Critical infrastructure keeps getting built. It stops being the biggest company in the room.

    @gatorgar As an AOL internet baby, I must confess I never saw much of a point in books. In fact I learned the lion's share of my grammar and spelling from AOL chat rooms. I was never a huge fan of fiction (basically I never read fiction) and everything I wanted to know what on the internet. People have this thing still, like, "Oh, well if you don't read books, you're an idiot..." I've been glued to the computer since the internet started. I've been 'reading' my entire life.

    How much longer are we going to allow AOL to hold the "Power of the Purse?" Not to mention maintaining a say on American/ Foreign Relations, Ammendments to Federal Laws and the making of both Public and Administrative policys? It's just plain stupid. Bucket loads of Dumb **** .... That's what's it is. And she's dumping it all over US.....AH?
