Rebecca Armstrong-Corbett (@racperspective) reported@BarclaysUK If you’re a disabled customer, this is my experience. Barclays says some account issues must be discussed on a secure channel. Yet I can’t use secure chat for 10 days. I can’t use Relay or get to a branch. What secure alternative is there? Still waiting for an answer.

Anth3891 (@Anth_83) reported@EmmaLewell It's hard to believe the poor quality service @BarclaysUK is permitted to get away with, despite the profits that I think @IanLaveryMP recently drew attention to. I couldn't get the ATM to work but, hilariously, its Shields branch isn't staffed on a Saturday!

mark brimblecombe (@markbrimblecom1) reported@Barclays I’ve banked with @BarclaysUK since I was 15 — 43 years without ever being overdrawn or causing a problem. I recently received a notice that my account will be closed because I now currently live overseas. I still hold a British passport, pay UK bills, and plan to return home regularly , and intend to retire in the UK. I completely understand compliance rules, but this feels harsh after four decades of loyalty. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this now common practice for British expats? Feels like loyalty no longer counts for much in modern banking.
