Terrible contradictory customer service from @BarclaysUK @BarclaysUKHelp. Tried to sign up for a current account to add to existing consumer services. Told to register on the app as a new customer, despite having online banking (made this clear). Now locked out of both profiles.

@sumner_rowan @BarclaysUK I called again today and got the same - still not able to receive foreign cheques. It’s quite incredible that the most basic service you expect from an account is unavailable. I’ve logged a complaint with the financial ombudsman

@BarclaysUK just had the misfortune of needing to use a branch in Manchester City centre after queuing at market st branch for 25 mins to be told no counter service getting sent to their only other branch in the city to find out there is a hour que for counter service tinpot outf
