Dr MDE πΊπ¦ #FBPE #GTTO #FBPA π»π¨βπΎπ¨βπ³πΆπͺπΊβοΈ (@mdareedwards) reported from Sandford-on-Thames, England@BarclaysUK is a truly dreadful bank. Essentially NO decent services for anyone without internet access & indeed most account options being unavailable to non-computer users, thereby being intrinsically ageist. Their "advisors" (not an apt description) are also unable to advise!

Angry-mzungu (@AngryMzungu) reported@BarclaysUK - Your Chat Service Is Utterly Pathetic and Useless ! 7 Attempts to request change of address and the operators are treating it like a tik tok chat. Seriously, if this is how you now treat your customers its appalling.

Pamela (@PamelaPhillips) reported@BarclaysUK I am still waiting on a Β£3608 refund owed to me after countless complaints for over a year. Every complaint ends with someone saying to call or chat another day. The service has been appalling & I have lost a huge amount of time/work which should never be necessary!

BowTiedBustard (@BowTiedBustard) reported@dan_ldn1 @LayahHeilpern @BarclaysUK IMO, it's not that FS is *entirely* useless - loans and savings products can serve a valuable purpose. The problem is that the current industry is largely self-serving and highly parasitic. Decentralised finance will replace much of it with code. And Barclays doesn't like that.

Just 0s and 1s (@Just0and1) reported@coinbureau Former employee and current customer of @BarclaysUK I will be reviewing my continued use of their service. Itβs my money I should be able to use it for any legal reason I want. Happy if they want to add more due diligence to payments to certain payees but a blanket ban is not on

Oli Hall (@OlihUK) reported@BarclaysUK charging 2.15% for international money transfers with no fee cap is scandalous. Customer service tells me itβs the same if you are transferring Β£100 or Β£1m. Not competitive and donβt care. Time to change bank after 35 years.
