    @BarclaysUK My daughter is 17 and has a young person account with you. Can she set up direct debits from this type of account? She is having trouble getting a verification code and customer service weren’t able to help.

    @Barclays Bit of background….I’m a Barclays Premier customer and former member of staff. If I can’t get Barclays to fix their error in closing the wrong account what chance do any other customers have? @BarclaysUK is not fit for purpose.

    Annoyed by an email from @BarclaysUK, saying that if I meet certain criteria they will deign to waive the fees for a Premier account. Even if I don't naturally meet the criteria, I could easily organise things so that I do - but as a customer of ~50 years, why should I have to?
