Now been on hold for an hour and a half to @BarclaysUK. What an absolute joke they now are. Closing branches without a care in the world and simultaneously make it impossible to speak to anyone on the phone either.

@BarclaysUK Well this is weird, the contact info page gives no email address. The phone number has long waiting times and the app chat requires a login code i dont have. The only communications method they give that will work is Twitter - so here goes.

@BarclaysUK chat service is sooooo bad! Been trying for almost 24 hours to cancel and a recall a direct debit that was not due and now the chat service has gone down. #poor especially when they keep pushing you to that service.

@BarclaysUK I’ve received a RG21k message when I try to log into my Barclays app. I have been using the app successfully for a few years without any problem. I do not want to have to go into a bank as so many have shut down or have reduced working hours resulting in long queues.
