  @wa_status is there a way to set my status not to show online when am using the service, it would be just nice not to be bother. Just like in Facebook messenger you can set yourself offline. Please advise

  @PrimusHelps your number isn’t working, your wifi isn’t working, and no one actually chats on your FB messenger. New modem arrived to ‘solve’ my internet issues but still no wifi. Others in Fort Erie with Primus service also down and can’t get through.

  @toister @Dyson I had an issue recently with a vacuum cleaner. I used Facebook messenger to contact support. Communication was seamless and easy. They diagnosed a battery issue, and sent a new one without me asking, even though the warranty had expired. Arrived in the post three days later.

  @kcemenike No, WhatsApp is not OTT. OTT refers only to video. As a service, conceptually and architecturally, WhatsApp is no different than iMessage or Facebook Messenger. What made it distinct early on was the use of phone number as primary identifier, and zero-rating deals.

  This is probably old news, but a sneaky tip if you loathe read receipts in FB messenger as much as I do… if you open messenger so you can see all your unread messages and then press and hold down on one, it pops up so you can read it but won’t show as read to the other person.

  @tstickstobi The impact first on Brands is many brands that are reliant on government policies will stop tweeting and stop running paid campaigns. They won’t want to stoke the government. Customer service will be driven via Facebook messenger and IG, hopefully via software like Zendesk.
