@MercurySchroepp @mattyglesias Facebook owns Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. For a short time almost every messaging app available was owned by Facebook. WhatsApp's founder came out and made Signal in order to provide an alternative. That predatory control is why Facebook needs to be broken up.

@SciencePharmer I've thankfully limited it to only using fb messenger. I can't handle normal fb, even before this pandemic. The amount of pseudoscience and antivaxxer old classmates I constantly had to try to help then fully block and move on I was so done.

@ghostcatbce @canadapostcorp Over the last 2 years when I’ve had issues with big companies I’ve tried phoning, using Contact Us on websites, direct emails, tagging them in Twitter posts and using FB Messenger. Messenger always gets a response and action. Usually don’t even hear back on the others. Good luck!
