@thorsbane After Michael - it seemed that FB Messenger worked better than anything else for communications when everything else was down. I don’t understand why that is.

@orgyversykes @grabph They wont get back to you here or even on FB messenger. Because of that, I ended up calling their customer service hotline for any action to happen. Actually, they weren't able to address my concern.

@t_durdy might be trying to consolidate everything into a smaller set of apps. Facebook shut down the Groups app because it was making a significant dent in the core app's MAU (some people like me were happy with just Events, Groups, Messenger). Probably same deal with Google's core app.
